The morning was cold, and the clouds almost completely filled the light blue sky. Though there were still a few spots of sky fighting through the gray, menacing, clouds. Blizzardstar watched the weather move and change from the entrance to her den, and she purred slightly. It wasn't a great day, yet still she would be able to get in some good training with Berrypaw. The leader couldn't help but love teaching kits, not matter how much they annoyed her. Letting out a peaceful sigh, she stood up and padded towards the apprentice's den. It was early, but the leader always preferred to do training before the other cats woke up. Being social wasn't something she excelled at. It was easy to second guess yourself when there were other mentors training their apprentices nearby, and there was nothing worse than second guessing yourself, especially when you were the leader.
The dew dampened ground squished under her paws as she reached the den where Berrypaw slept. "Berrypaw? Berrypaw it is time for training." Blizzardstar hissed lightly poking her head into the den. "Meet me at the entrance as soon as possible. We should be leaving before the patrol heads out." She didn't wait to see if Berrypaw got up. If she didn't Blizzardstar would just come back in and poke the little apprentice till she woke up. It didn't matter to the leader, as long as they left camp soon.
Heading to the entrance and exit out of camp, Blizzardstar settled herself next to it. She didn't relax though. The fluffy leader kept her back as straight as possible and her eyes wide open. Her tail stayed still, and all she did was watch the apprentice's den, waiting for her apprentice to show up.

Berrypaw SHE-CAT - 11 MOONS - RIVERCLAN APPRENTICE
Berrypaw only groaned in response as she heard her mentor pad away from the apprentices’ den. Being apprentice to the leader of RiverClan certainly had its perks, but the one downside? Mornings. The calico swore Blizzardstar rose sooner than the sun itself, and to top it off Berrypaw could already feel the chill of a cold, damp morning biting at her paws and the tips of her ears. Part of the young cat almost wished she could just curl up and go back to her dreams. But she knew she would never become RiverClan’s greatest warrior lazing around. Climbing to her paws the calico let out a sigh and stretched out her back and tail, and as she worked the sleep from her limbs her eyes swept over the dozing forms of the other RiverClan apprentices. Lucky furballs. While she had to go out in the cold and train, each one of them got to remain in there comfortable and so, so peacefully asleep. In fact, they seemed so at ease that it almost made Berrypaw want to be extra careful leaving the den as she began to slink forward. … “Ow!”“What? H-hey!”“Berrypaw!!”A few seconds and several stepped on tails later the calico reached the entrance to the den and, pausing just long enough to purr a single “Oops.”, she disappeared through it and left the glaring and now very much awake apprentices behind. And suddenly her morning did not seem so bad after all. Emerging into the gray morning light Berrypaw quickly spotted the white form of her mentor sitting near the camp entrance and began to sprint over to her. It only took her a few horribly wet and muddy strides to reach Blizzardstar, and as much as the apprentice wanted to sit down and clean her paws right then and there, she forced herself to purr warmly as she sat down next to the clan leader. Even if she did retch under her breath as her fur brushed against the dew. “Good morning, Blizzardstar. What are we doing today?”

always acting like i'm happy when i'm dying inside Tail flicking, the snowy pelted leader rose to her feet as she saw her apprentice approach, ”Good morning to you too. I hope you slept well. We are going to be working on some fighting techniques today, and possibly some hunting if you feel up to it.” Blizzardstar nodded kindly at Berrypaw, and without waiting for an answer, she headed out into the marshy land. The land squished slightly under paws, but it hadn’t rained for a few days, so she was able to hop gracefully into the glistening water. It soak through her fur in seconds, and it felt like icy daggers against her skin. The air around her might be getting warmer, but the water hadn’t seemed to have caught up. Baring her teeth, she began to swim calmly to the bank. A thought came to her, and she spun around to see how Berrypaw was doing. Berrypaw was eleven moons old, but that didn’t mean she was an expert swimmer yet. She considered calling out to her apprentice, but she thought better of it. She didn’t want her apprentice or anyone else to think she was afraid of a RiverClan cat drowning. Anyways, She reassured herself, ”the current isn’t very strong today. I bet a kit could swim this. The bank came into sight, and the mentor swam a little quicker till she reached it. Pulling herself up onto it, she looked back to see where her apprentice was. ”Okay, I want to head a little farther into our territory, and then we can get started.” She had headed towards WindClan territory and away from ThunderClan. It was always safer to go this way. The ThunderClan cats were so touchy about RiverClan cats getting close to Sunning Rocks. Even though they belong to us… Even though they always have belonged to us… ”I would like to go through some basics, and then if you are good at those we can move onto some more complicated moves.”Berrypaw 329 Words I'm terrible at doing fighting training threads, so I apologize in advance. lol MADE BY VEL OF GS
